CCA extends greetings as the Communion of Churches in Indonesia celebrates 75th Anniversary

Chiang Mai, Thailand: The Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) extended congratulations and greetings to the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) as it celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, marking 75 years of faithful witness and service.
In a video message addressed to church and ecumenical leaders across Indonesia, the CCA General Secretary Dr Mathews George Chunakara expressed profound joy and thanksgiving, joining with CCA’s 99 member churches and 17 national councils across Asia in celebrating this historic milestone. He affirmed CCA’s deep appreciation for the commitment and active engagement of Indonesian churches in both the Asian and the global ecumenical movements.
The General Secretary stated, “As you renew and reaffirm your commitments to journeying together with all PGI members, we wish and pray that the PGI will continue to steadfastly promote unity among its member churches, contribute to the advancement of God's mission”.
“The theme of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration ‘The United Body of Christ: Resilient and Relevant’ is a clear call to pursue unity in the face of persistent challenges and to respond with unwavering faith. May the commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee of the PGI be a blessed occasion to renew your commitment and determination to strengthen the communion of Indonesian churches, that they may be a beacon of hope, justice, and transformation towards the fullness of life for all,” added Dr Chunakara.
