2002 CCA celebrates 45th anniversary
2003 CCA and YMCA jointly established the Interfaith Cooperation Forum
2001 CCA established the Mekong Ecumenical Partnership Programme (MEPP)
2001 CCA and WCC jointly established Ecumenical Theological Education in Asia and the Pacific
2001 CCA initiates the Asian Ecumenical Lecture series
2000 11th GA - Tomohon

2000 CCA Organsied the Asian Students and Youth Gathering
1999 CCA initiated a study on Religious Freedom in Asia
1999 CCA responded to the carnage in East Timor
1999 Asian Church Leaders’ Consultation on the Rights of Internally Displaced People
1999 Asian Consultation on Church and Society held in Darwin, Australia
1999 CCA responded to Indonesian Political Crisis and organsied a pastoral Solidarity visit to Indonesia.
1998 CCA opposed Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan
1998 CCA team visited Asian Migrant Workers in Middle Eastern countries
1998 CCA was invited by the Pontifical Council, Vatican to attend the Special assembly of the Synod of Bishops for Asia held in Rome.
1998 CCA-WCC Joint Working Group was established and the first meeting was held at the Baptist University, Hong Kong
1998 CCA Asia Sunday focussed on North Korea
1998 CCA co-hosted Asia Pacific Celebration of the WCC Golden Jubilee and the Asia Pre-Assembly meeting of WCC in New Delhi
1998 CCA initiated the founding of Kampuchea Christian Council
1998 CCA organised the first programme in Nepal which led to the formation of Nepal Christian Council
1997 CCA International Affairs initiated the Annual Human Rights Training Course for Church workers and the first one was held in Bangkok, Thailand
1997 CCA organised a major Consultation on Peace and Security in Indo-China with the participation of Governments in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia
1997 CCA initiated and founded Congress of Asian Theologians (CATS) and first CATS held in Korea
1997 CCA celebrates 40th Anniversary in Hong Kong
1996 CCA Youth organises Reading Bible Through Asian Eyes in Nanjing, China. This was the first time a CCA programme was organised inside China. Participants of this workshop included members from the Hong Kong Christian Council and the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. (Feb.)
1996 CCA and the FABC jointly organized the 1st Asian Movement for Christian Unity
1996 CCA Staff delegation visited the China Christian Council and also met with top officials of the Religious Affairs Bureau of People’s Republic of China
1995 10th GA - Colombo

1994 2nd Asia Mission Conference, Seoul
1994 CCA initiated Asian level campaign to Ban Landmines
1994 CCA facilitated the formation of South Asian Council of Churches (SACC) and the first meeting of SACC in Hyderabad, India
1993 CCA Center is acquired
1993 Asian Ecumenical Committee established jointly by CCA and FABC
1992 CCA and WCC makes pastoral visit to East Timor and this was the beginning of the wider ecumenical involvement with the churches in East Timor
1991 CCA moves Hong Kong
1990 * PTCA established the Forum of Asian Theological Librarians
1990 *ECTWT establishes ECPAT
1990 9th GA - Manila

1990 CCA Hymnal Sound the Bamboo is published
1989 AMC established by URM
1989 1st Asia Mission Conference, Cipanas, Indonesia
1988 CCA decentralises to Manila, Chiangmai, Hong Kong and Osaka
1987 CCA expelled from Singapore (30 Dec.)
1987 The Asian Conference on Church and Society, Seoul, Korea
1985 8th GA - Seoul

1983 CCA works with Asian Associations of Theological Schools to establish Programme for Theology and Culture in Asia
1983 AHRC & ALRC inaugurated in Tokyo on HR day by IA
1982 General Committee celebrates Twenty-fifth anniversary of CCA, Kuala Lumpur
1982 CCA renews covenant with WSCF-AP on ecumenical task of Asian Student Christian Movement
1982 ECTWT was jointly established by CCA and the Asian Bishops’ Conference.
The PCC, AACC, MECC and LACC then joined the coalition.

"Living in Christ with People"
1981 Committee for Asian Women established by URM and FABC-OHD
1981 CCA sponsors first international meeting of Chinese Christians after the Cultural Revolution in China with other Asian Christians in Hong Kong. (Mar.)
1980 China Christian Council and the Three Self Patriotic Movement invites CCA to visit Chinese Churches. CCA GS was the first Christian outside China to be invited to visit the country after the formation of the CCC. (Oct.)
1979 1st issue of CTC Bulletin
1979 Indochina Consortium was the first non-governmental agency to enter Kampuchea after the Heng Samrin government was installed.
1978 Asian Christian Art Association is established
1978 CCA-UN ESCAP Joint programme established
1977 CCA-WCC jointly established Indochina Consortium.

1975 CCA Consultation on Education for Liberation and Community

1975 First Asia Sunday was observed on a Sunday before Pentecost, the day CCA was inaugurated

1975 Rural Youth Fund was established
1974 Decision to centralize CCA office in Singapore
1973 Theology in Action workshops and courses, organised jointly by CCA URM and CCA Education, held in 6 countries over a period of 4 years.
1973 DAGA established in Tokyo by URM

1972 EACC and Asian Federation of Catholic Medical Associations jointly organizes first ecumenical medical conference
1971 UIM and FABC-OHD jointly establish Asian Committee for People’s Organising
1970 "Mission in Asia Today" Consultation, Singapore
1970 Asian Ecumenical Conference for Development organized jointly with the Roman Catholic Church
1970 Association of Christian Institutes for Social Concern (ACISCA) formed by EACC, with 7 members; now almost 50+ centres and movements Asia-wide.
1970 DT Niles Memorial fund initiated
1969 EACC establishes full-time desk for Christian Education and Lay Training (later Education and Ministry).
